Asian Taste looks like a clone of every strip mall Chinese restaurant you've ever been to -- from the illuminated menu pictures above the counter to the limited seating. While it looks unremarkable, the food preparation is very speedy and very tasty. The crab Rangoon were delivered to our table mere minutes after we ordered and were plump with cream cheese. The fried dumplings were equally wonderful. Our entrees showed up before we were finished with our second Rangoon and were about the temperature of the surface of the sun. Both the bourbon chicken and Szechuan beef tasted fantastic and the portions were large enough that both my son and I were full at about the halfway point -- and they were still steaming hot. The only big negative of the meal were the egg rolls. They weren't particularly hot or crispy and the flavor was bland at best. In fact, they reminded me of something I'd get at a high school cafeteria. At the end of the day, Asian Taste is still just strip mall Chinese food, but it's darn good and a big step better than Panda Express.

Something has changed here, they are now using dark meat in their sesame chicken which leads to an unappetizing texture in your mouth when you bite into the chicken. It is too mushy and makes you think that it is just fat. Portions are still huge and the Noodle dishes are still good but they need to put white meat in the Sesame Chicken and any other battered chicken dishes for that matter!

Asian taste has the rudest staff I have ever dealt with. Their prices are going up and portions are going down, just like the quality. I wouldn't eat here if it was the last place on earth to get food. And in the off chance that actually happens, I would rather eat my own foot.

This is our standby Asian place in western Kenosha, here and Chen's Bistro when we're close to downtown. The food, especially the veggies, are fresh and plenty of whatever sauce you ordered. Every meal we've had from here was HOT and yummy! The lobby is MEH, typical small Asian joint, lots of cold air blows in when that front door opens in the winter. Service is good, not bad or great but good. I'll post some pics when I get my new phone.

Never ever had a problem with anything I ever order from here!!! The food arrives pretty fast. Call ahead for faster service. The night I went they had the Asian club from the high school ordering tons of food, my order and the food they ordered only took 10 minutes, wow!!! Only problem? They don't deliver, that's okay !!!

It's your typical asian restaurant. I got the Mongolian beef and a shrimp roll to go. The portion size was big...i couldn't finish it and I'm good at eating everything in front of me. The shrimp roll was the size off a baby's arm. The flavor was superb....fresh and tasty. Cant go wrong with this joint. Oh and the icing on the cake was that the receipt was printed in English and Chinese! Well I think it was Chinese, it may have been Korean or something else..I dunno.

This is the best chinese we've had since we moved to Kenosha in October. The food was fresh, the portions were large and there were lots of veggie options. We'll definitely be back!

By far the best chinese food in Kenosha, Westosha , even northern Illinois. If your a seafood fan you gotta try the shrimp with garlic sauce. Got a craving for chinese food this is the place to go you won't be disappointed.

By far absolutely the best Chinese restaurant in WI / Northern IL area! Always fast, fresh, hot, and delicious. I come here every week to get my dinners for the whole week since I don't cook and need dinners that can be heated up fast and does not taste like TV dinners. I love their Szechuwan Chicken, Chicken in Garlic Sauce, Hunan Chicken, etc. Oh and their steam rice taste different from other Chinese restaurants, always steaming hot, soft, and stickier than others. I would say it tastes more like sushi rice than regular steam rice. Amazing food for the price, you will never be disappointed here!

I have a hard time giving any place 5 stars, cuz anyone can slip. But the best Chinese food around in my opinion, coming from a white dude, may not know true authentic Chinese, but this stuff is delicious, never had a bad meal. I prefer carry out though, just a basic storefront setup.

We go here every Sunday after church. The food is fresh and good. It's super fast and piping hot. Great egg rolls and crab rangoon. Good deals for lunch and good size portions. Good choice any time.

I know people round here like Panda Express, but why choose Asian fast food when you can have more authentic cuisine ... and more food for your money? Love their Egg Foo Y(o)ung - super puffy, yet delicious patties. Their shrimp dishes are wonderful (I don't eat beef / pork / chicken). Nice that you can grab as many sauces / condiments as you like - many places never give enough! Prices are standard, but quality is king for me. I used to have to drive to Lucky Chen in Paddock Lake, so I was so happy AT opened a few years back. Sates all Asian cravings I ever have!

Boycott Alert! Asian Taste in Pleasant Prairie (near Target). I found a large chewed piece of plastic fork buried in my Lo Mein House special noodle order. Never mind that they screwed up my original order. Not the first time either. I was absolutely horrified when I found a broken plastic fork tine that was clearly chewed on, buried in those noodles. I brought the entire order back and asked the manager (arrogant moron with glasses) to explain the chewed up fork tine I found. The manager couldn't care less. He actually continued to answer the phone and fill orders. I eventually turned around at the counter and told the entire restaurant what I had found in my order and to be careful that they aren't eating leftovers from other customers (or staff) that were scraped together. This wasn't my first issue with this place, but I always overlooked mistakes with the order. However, finding used plastic utensil parts in my food leadss me to believe this place is cutting corners. GROSS! Eat at your own risk. There are much better places in Kenosha and Pleasant Prairie than this hole.

The food is consistently very good and very reasonably priced. Especially for lunch. Two people can eat lunch and have a bottled water for $10.00

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
